Ford F-150 & Super Duty Block Off Plates (2015-2022)

I am impressed with the quality and the effect of these block off plates. Shipped fast and well packaged; tins for the screws are a nice touch to help you during install. Supporting videos to show you how it’s done! I really wanted to do a A and B comparison so I added the door treatment and SGS block off plates and reinstalled the OEM Sony 6 x 9’s. Night and day difference. Without the plates they would add color the louder they got; with them they sound great. Will get these for next truck no doubt.

Real easy and quick install. Tight fitment with screws supplied allowing for tight and solid stable placement. Did add some sound deadening lining to inner side.
Overall solid plate which helps with trying to maximize sound proofing. Which is better than the thin plastic shield on door. Am content and recommend use.

Fit, finish, design and even the packaging is top notch. If I could give ten stars I would.

The process to properly sound treat the doors is a little mundane but the end result is worth the little work. The midrange and bass is more audible

I purchased the door block off plates because the plastic liner on my Ford F-250 was not sealed and water was coming through. The plates are solid, but not heavy. They fit perfectly and seal the large door hole quite well to prevent water from entering into the cab and soaking the carpet. Easy installation with metal screws. Screw spacing is adequate for a solid mount, but I would have liked a little tighter spacing along the bottom for water seal purposes. I recommended these for my coworkers suffering from the water leak problem on their Ford trucks as well.

Even made the kicker door speakers sound amazing

The block off plates are incredible! Definitely noticed the difference they make. On top of the great product, I called the business with a couple questions and they were the most down to earth and nicest people! Would order from SGS again!

I purchased an amp rack and block off plates for my truck and was VERY pleased with how well each item was made. The amp rack comes with all the hardware required for assembly. The block off plates are a must have for sound reduction. SGS's plates are well made and come with the screws required for a perfect install.

No brainer. Got the insulating material from a different vendor because I had store credit. However once I installed the silless and added the panels (also added silless to the inside of the panels). Installation was easy. Used a drill to start the hole and then put the screws in and it was fine. Be aware of when removing the door latch cable. I had a brain fart and forgot that I watched the instructions and broke it off. Once I realized how easy it was to clip and pull it out of the door I felt like an imbecile.
Also ordered the speaker adapters and let me tell you don’t even think of going cheap with the other stuff online. You want this.

Installed the Block-Off Plates in a 2017 F-150. The material is super sturdy, with a nice design (even though it won’t be seen). Easy to install with extra screws provided. Highly recommended item for a top-notch sound treatment!

I really like these block-off plates. I installed them in my front doors and plan to do the rear doors, soon. The plate alignment was a little awkward for me due to the way the front-most plate's lip corner fits with respect to the (recessed) door opening/cutout (plate kinda bent outward slightly instead of sitting flush in), but not a big deal. The included screws worked great (I was somewhat skeptical whether they were the right type prior to installing them). The only real question I had during the install was whether or not I needed to pre-drill holes in the plates...but, after finding and searching SGS's video, I found that pre-drilling wasn't necessary. Overall, very pleased with this purchase. Glad to see SGS's presence on F-150 forum, as well, which is where I first heard about these!

Super easy install, sealed the doors up nicely. Helped with road noise and bass response.

Love these! No more awkward thoughts of should I leave an open hole or glue the crappy plastic back on. These complete the install and look amazing! Not just crappy plastic either, these are thick, dense and fit perfectly!

I purchased the amp rack for the f150 and whil talking to Don, he recommended doing sound deadening, specifically the door block off panels to improve the mid-bass in my truck. The panels as well as the sound deadening(I went with another brand) made a big difference. I highly recommend doing this to your truck if you have any kind of power running your speakers. System sounds even better. Thank you Don. They install in about 10 min (each door) or as fast as you can drill and put all the screws in.

Like the other parts I have bought from Sounds Good Stereo the fit and finish on this was outstanding. The door block off plates have helped with the midbass in the doors and helped with Noise reduction, along with sound deadening, to really quiet the cab down. Midbass response have improved significantly and I have a clean looking door. Installation on all four doors took me less than 30 minutes. Using a corded drill and carbide bits helped making the holes simple and easy.

Another outstanding product to help make my F150 sound just a bit better.
