I've tried to FYI this panel before. The SGS looks better. Works better. And. installs easily. The price is only slightly more than I would expect to pay for materials alone. Well worth the money!
Super easy install. I used forty in the front doors of my WRX.
Was meant to allow my heavy duty 6.5 be installed from 6x8...I bought metra first but was for basic small 6.5s not mine so was a waste of money. Called sgs and asked about there cut out size which was off by .01 per the speaker recommended cut out. The guy I spoke with was very nice and I decided to buy these for 2014 Mustang GT 5.0....though I had to cut the factory speaker secure tabs off this baffle was perfect and worked for my heavy duty 6.5...check your speaker recommended cutout before purchasing any baffle.
I got this rack to fit in my 23 F150 Lightning but it took alot of work. First the passenger side bracket on the back wall is to long. I posted a pic. I had to grind down the bracket on the board so it would bolt up to the truck. Also, the floor bracket doesnt line up with the hole. I ended up using 2 wall mount brackets and one floor mount on the driver side. The I also had to cut the padding on the wall behind the amp rack to get it to sit flush against the wall. The short version of this rack accomodates the contours of the padding so you wouldnt have to do that but this full rack version does not. At the end of the day if you have some fabrication skills you can get this to work as I did in the picture but if you want to drop this right into your lightning, sorry its not going to happen.
Installation isn’t complicated, but it would be nice to have some reference points as to exactly where they are be positioned. They cover the main openings as well as smaller ones nearby to completely seal the door panel, but getting the orientation just right before drilling holes for the screws is a little tricky. I would drill two holes while holding the piece in place and then put the two screws in to locate it before drilling and adding the remaining screws. Was going to add component speakers to the front doors, but decided to hold off and I’m glad I did. These plates and some sound deadener completely corrected the lack of bass from the factory Bose speakers. I also added some thin material to better seal these to the doors. I couldn’t feel the bass at all from any of the door speakers prior to adding the panels, but that isn’t the case anymore. Extremely pleased with my purchase!
Turnaround time was a little long. It was made a lot longer being my first order was “lost in the mail”. Not the fault of Sounds Good Stereo. Installation took some time. I did not receive any sound-deadening in my package, so I modified the existing material to work with the new enclosure. It's a little tight but I made it work. The video helps with installation but could of help with running power and ground to the battery, that part was cut out. Overall good quality, detailed instructional video., and even better than what I was expecting. The sound is night and day which is what mattered the most.
I just received my box and it’s truly worth the wait. The box was packed up well to ensure safe delivery. The box fit perfectly and sounds remarkable. I love the terminals used as it allow for quick disconnection if needed. I also have the Jl Stealthbox and in my option this is far more superior
These block off plates were perfect for my 2024 Silverado HD! Complemented the sound treatment and added a lot of control and depth to the midbass! I wouldn’t consider a speaker upgrade without using these panels or you’ll leave a lot of sound potential on the table!
These adapters will not fit apocalypse speakers! A little to small, I am going to try to trim them to make them fit
