Exactly what I was Looking For

I have a 2024 Lariat 502a with B&O Unleashed speakers. The speakers themselves are really good, however it severely lacked in bass compared to other B&O systems I’ve had (2014 5 Series).

As I’ve looked across multiple forums, I found a post that recommended the Kicker KeyLOC from SoundsGoodStereo. I’ve never done any upgrades to car audio, so I gave them a call and they explained how the KeyLOC would work and how it would fix the factory bass roll off. Pulled the trigger on this during their Black Friday sale and recently got it installed with Skar Downward Facing under rear seat subwoofer box with 2 10 inch subwoofers.

All I can say is that it changes the experience immensely. Listening to music is enjoyable and especially if you like listening to music at louder volumes fixing the factory bass roll off is a game changer.

If you are looking to add bass to your truck, this pre-tuned Line Output Converter is the way to go. If you have any questions, give them a call. The person I spoke to on the phone gave some amazing tips as well which helped with the install (Running ground and power to the battery).

Plug and play, add power. Really that simple. I made zero adjustments used an Epic amp from Audiocontrol that has a pigtail used for an epicenter to power this. Perfect pairing

2024 Ranger Raptor Subwoofer Install

I wanted to upgrade the sub while retaining the stock stereo and speakers. I bought the JL Audio TW1-10 stealth box with a AudioControl 1.300 ACM amplifier, but this pre-tuned Kicker LOC was the key (pun intended) to the build.

This device is awesome. It plugs directly to the stock amp and allows you to add an aftermarket sub and amp combo. When I told my installer about this product, he was a bit skeptical. He was used to taking an off the shelf LOC or DSP and having to splice wires and do hours of tuning himself to make it compatible with the stock head unit. However these guys do all that "pain-in-the-ass" work for you. It is simple just plug and play.

I am using stock speakers and they sound great with the added sub. Full disclosure, my installer did have some issues initially connecting the LOC to the stock amp, as the fittings provided by SGS don't appear to fit. It was a bit of a stressful moment as I thought the project was stalled indefinitely. But a simple 3-way call with SGS and my installer cleared it up. A gentleman named Don from SGS talked to my installer, and said he had to cut off the connector they provided (I hope I am explaining this correctly, as I know nothing about audio electronics) and it would plug right in. After that, the install was seamless, and my stereo system sounds amazing. Highly recommend those who are looking to enhance their system on a moderate budget.

At first I was having trouble getting the Keyloc to power on. The harness supplied was perfect and exactly what I needed. The problem was that I was attempting to power the Keyloc with a bench top power supply powered by the truck's inverter. Once I had the Keyloc connected on the same ground path (without using the inverter) all was perfect. Great quality and great customer service. I highly recommend Sounds Good Stereo.

Perfect solution for bass roll off on 23 F350 B&O Unleashed

Was using an LC2i to get signal to my amp off the oem sub but couldn't get the bass adjustment right. Quick search on Google led me to SOUNDSGOODSTEREO.COM and I found this solution. Bass sounds clean and not overpowering. Programming is already done so this is plug and play out of the box. Install was easy. MY23 trucks have the amp on the passenger side of the back cab wall just FYI but the provided harness and rcas are plenty long to reach the driver side.

‘23 Mustang Mach-E B&O System

Plug and Play, and probably the best crafted custom harness I’ve used. The Kicker Key-LOC was pre configured and sounded great right out of the box. Having this allowed me to spend my time on sound proofing the car, instead of wasting it making splices, something that would have not have come out as clean as this.

Factory Connection Harness to add a new Subwoofer Amplifier

Delivery was quick but seeing how I had to cut the plug meant to go into where the subwoofer plugs into I wasn't very happy. Seeing how that it didn't have the correct plug on it and had to splice into the wires anyways it was pretty pointless. All the other stuff I have ordered from them have been right on but not this plug for some reason. I'm sure if I would have called them they would have fixed the issue but it was the weekend and I was really just impatient which is on me and that is why I gave them 3 stars instead of only 2 stars.

Hey Thomas, wish you would have not cut your harness. On the product page, it says in the title 'Read Description Below' and in this description we would like for everyone to read, it says 'This harness connects at the subwoofer, not the green plug on the enclosure. Simply remove the subwoofer from the enclosure and our harness plugs right in. No need to splice wires to upgrade the subwoofer system in your vehicle.' We appreciate the review and hopefully anyone reading this will take a few more moments, and read through the description before cutting anything. Thanks

Option- Fix Factory Bass Roll-Off:
We have tested thoroughly just about every integration option on these trucks and while some can try to prevent the bass roll-off, they are simply a band-aid that does not work very well. Most are just a bass boost on the bottom end, but this boost exists when the roll-off is not happening, so you will constantly fight the remote subwoofer level/bass knob to "tame" the new subwoofer system. No fun and not the experience our customers expect.

Our approach is very different than most, but it is backed by testing along with a few key patents that make this happen. Instead of utilizing the factory subwoofer connection, we utilize a pair of interior speakers. Now these speakers do not have much subwoofer bass going to them, but it's just enough for the Kicker KeyLOC integration module to restore it properly. So why did we choose the Kicker KeyLOC? Well, it's the only integration module that can fix the All-Pass Filters on the interior speakers. Since we need both the left speaker and the right speaker to create the signal, we need to combine them to create one. As you might know, the left speaker has a totally different tune than the right. So a simple "Line Output Converter" is not the correct device for this vehicle, the KeyLOC is the only one in our industry that can do this properly...remember the patents I mentioned??

This option includes a custom-made harness by our team and is pre-programmed at our facility to match your truck's factory stereo system. Just connect the power/ground (Yellow/Black), remote turn-on, and the included RCAs from the custom harness to your amplifier. Then you now have the professional way to fix the bass roll-off and have the signal you need for a great subwoofer system.

Option- Keep Factory Bass Roll-Off:
As you might have already experienced, the factory B&O systems will roll back the bass over volume 14 and it will come in and out depending on the song. This roll-off exists to protect the factory subwoofer from damage, but for most users, it creates an unpleasant listening experience. This harness uses the factory subwoofer connection, so the roll-off will still exist at volumes over the 14 mark, but if you are a lower volume level listener or just want more bass in a cost-effective manner, this harness is for you.
This harness connects at the subwoofer, not the green plug on the enclosure. Simply remove the subwoofer from the enclosure and our harness plugs right in. No need to splice wires to upgrade the subwoofer system in your vehicle.

For the High-Level and low-level options. You will need to see if your amplifier accepts speaker-level/high-level inputs and how. For example, here are several popular amplifiers and if they accept High-Level inputs:

Arc Audio High-Level = RCA
Mosconi High Level = RCA
Kicker = RCA
New Alpine High Level = RCA
Older Alpine High Level = Speaker Wire
JL Audio High-Level = RCA
Audiocontrol High-Level = Speaker Wire
New Rockford High-Level = RCA
Old Rockford High-Level = Speaker Wire
Skar Audio RP Series High-Level = Does not have it, you cannot use soldered RCA from your ACM. You must convert this with a LOC or Kicker KeyLOC, etc.
Sundown Salt Series High-Level = Does not have it, you cannot use soldered RCA from your ACM. You must convert this with a LOC or Kicker KeyLOC, etc.
DD Audio M Series High-Level = Does not have it, you cannot use soldered RCA from your ACM. You must convert this with a LOC or Kicker KeyLOC, etc.
Rockville = High-Level = Does not have it, you cannot use soldered RCA from your ACM. You must convert this with a LOC or Kicker KeyLOC, etc.
etc....

Any questions, please let us know and we can guide you in the right direction.
