I order from SGS and had it within a few days. You can see the quality of the work when it's in your hands. Very happy already placed another order. Hope to place a 3rd one soon. Don is great. Emails back fast always available to answer questions
Customer service was not great. From date of order it took over 3 months to receive. This was only after having to send a few emails. The "everything you need kit" does not include the razor or roller that you need to install the sound materials to doors. This apparently needs to be ordered and paid separately. The kit includes custom made sound blocks. If you have a f150 lightning, you will only have enough to do the front doors. If you find this out after you have installed, you will have to buy more from SGS. They do not include enough to complete the rear doors as I have found.
The install took me by myself 3 full days to complete, minus rear door speakers which I held on for the missing sound blocks but decided I did not want to spend any more additional money on this kit. I would suggest having some previous stereo install experience if doing on your own.
The kit does have some "glitches" as I would call it with the ford interface. Warning chimes do not work anymore, or sometimes do and sometimes don't. The sound when the system auto switches from phone call back to stereo sometimes blasting which is startling especially to our dogs.
Sound is good. Given the spacing restrictions with the stealth kit, I feel it is the best sound that can be achieved with this senario. If you go into the purchase understanding the factory system (b&0 in my case) isn't that bad, and that the low end base just isn't going to happen with the smaller woofers, then it really does sound good for what it is. I wouldn't go thru the labor or the cost again for this system, but do not completely regret it. It does sound good overall.
SGS should include everything truely needed and better customer service. Allso offering the sound deadening kits pre cut for the vehicle would of helped with our install and im sure others in the future.
Customer service was phenomenal that shipping. The wire harness for the truck is perfect. They’re spot on if I knew about these guys before the harness I probably would’ve bought my sound system. Do you have a newer model truck and you wanna keep it as factory as possible I highly recommend these guys.
If you need to convert your Sub signal to RCA's this is the way to go. Simple plug and play.
This amp rack is a no brainer and was a critical part of my build. Also, the guys at Sounds Good are awesome. Quality product, fits perfect, and made of really nice and thick HDPE plastic. It’s easy to mount a lot of gear on this thing and easy to work with for drilling and countersinking, etc. Really nice that it has some room behind it to hide your wiring too. I spent about 18 hours in full OCD wiring up and mounting all my amps/dsp. Wiring on back came out a little messy, but you can drill for zip ties to be hidden under your amps and hide wiring on back. Was really nice to work on everything outside the truck and then have it drop right in to place zero issues in like 10 minutes. Fit perfectly. Some things to note… pay attention to thicker amps. Best to mount them lower for more clearance, but also it is still a little tight when the seat folds up but it does lock in to place. Back seat pushes up against amps when folded up though so just be aware of this. If you plan to have seats folded up a lot, smaller less tall/thick amps may be the ticket. Also, if you have the seat heater module on the back of drivers side passenger seat pay attention to that. Mine landed right where my ZEN is mounted. Clears fine in normal position but needed to be bent in towards the seat slightly for when the seat folds up. Long story short, thanks you guys and this amp rack was worth every penny for perfect fitment in my 22’ Raptor.
This fuse holder works great if you want to make your own power wire setup and crimped terminals. OEM quality. Sounds good guys are great. I bolted it to side of battery tray with small stainless hardware/nylocks and working great.
Zen A2B is the way to go. Installed in my 22’ Raptor. Definitely suggest buying from the Sounds Good guys because they’re good dudes with good customer service and answered a ton of questions for me no problem. They’ve installed a lot of these and know their stuff. Keep in mind why I was originally planning to use the toslink output to my helix you’re able to keep the fading front to back and left to right with the RCAs out and it’s actually better sound quality/bit rate I was told using the RCAs vs toslink. Might not be noticeable to some depending on your input source, but may be noticeable in higher end systems. Don’t be afraid to try the RCAs out and remember to update Zen. I got clean signal up to volume 28/30 on my 22 raptor and set everything up for 25/30 max volume to play it safe. Main takeaway, buy the Zen from these guys because they are going to be able to support you during install. Thanks guys.
These tiles really work great for sound deadening. They are a little bit of a pain to peel, but get yourself a small olfa knife to basically skim the outer edge and cut away the backing. Once you get the hang of it it’s not bad and actually easier/more enjoyable to install these on outer door skin to me than traditional mat. Excellent customer service and shipping as always from the Sounds Good guys.
Perfect! Just what I needed for my 21 Silverado Trail Boss. Will be upgrading the rest of the audio and SG will be my go to!
I was so excited to find these guys online, well worth the money and the wait. The system is everything I wanted in my truck and so clear and of the highest quality!! I’m looking at doing my Mustang next after watching their videos of another stealth system, thanks for this guys!!
Easy installation for me since I’ve done this in my younger days. Detailed videos help anyone to be capable!
