I purchased the amp rack for the f150 and whil talking to Don, he recommended doing sound deadening, specifically the door block off panels to improve the mid-bass in my truck. The panels as well as the sound deadening(I went with another brand) made a big difference. I highly recommend doing this to your truck if you have any kind of power running your speakers. System sounds even better. Thank you Don. They install in about 10 min (each door) or as fast as you can drill and put all the screws in.

Exactly what I wanted. It provides access to the door when you need to get at parts in the door cavity. Good sound proofing.

Real easy and quick install. Tight fitment with screws supplied allowing for tight and solid stable placement. Did add some sound deadening lining to inner side.
Overall solid plate which helps with trying to maximize sound proofing. Which is better than the thin plastic shield on door. Am content and recommend use.

Fit, finish, design and even the packaging is top notch. If I could give ten stars I would.

The process to properly sound treat the doors is a little mundane but the end result is worth the little work. The midrange and bass is more audible

These block off plates are just flat out awesome. Fit and finish is top notch. SGS customer service is by far the best. They always go above and beyond to answer any questions.

I purchased the door block off plates because the plastic liner on my Ford F-250 was not sealed and water was coming through. The plates are solid, but not heavy. They fit perfectly and seal the large door hole quite well to prevent water from entering into the cab and soaking the carpet. Easy installation with metal screws. Screw spacing is adequate for a solid mount, but I would have liked a little tighter spacing along the bottom for water seal purposes. I recommended these for my coworkers suffering from the water leak problem on their Ford trucks as well.

I was fortunate enough to win this package from SGS last year during their giveaways. I immediately did all 4 doors on my F-150. I was very skeptical of this making a difference and if you asked me prior to my install I would have said theres no way it would make a noticeable difference. Well, I will say I was wrong about everything. This is a very well designed package and makes a tremendous difference in the way your music sounds as well as the amount of road noise you hear.

The mid bass from my speakers was the biggest difference, I believe this is from the door block off plates, this would be the best bang for the buck if anyone was looking to do a cheap upgrade. I did everything at once so its hard to tell but all I can say is I was blown away on how much better the stereo sounded. Keep in mind I am running factory power on some lower end powerbass drop in speakers. I do plan to add a Kicker Key in the near future and I am sure this will compliment the sound package that much more.

During my first drive I 100% could tell the cab was quieter. Once I saw how much of a difference this made I immediately applied Blackhole mat to the rear wall which made a slight difference as well. The kit comes with plenty of material, even after doing my doors and rear wall I still have well over half a box of blackhole mat left.

The crew at SGS has some awesome customer service, I reached out several times with questions and they were always quick to respond. For anyone with a 21+ F-150 they have detailed videos on how to take apart your truck and install everything. These videos are applicable to anything sound deadening related or even installing custom speakers in your truck. I watched these videos several times and would of been skeptical of doing the install myself without them.

If anyone is contemplating this ki.........t it is pricey but I can guarantee you will see a noticeable improvement.

I decided to go with the level 1 kit. It’s been over 29 years since I have worked on a car audio project of this scale. Amazed with the block off plates for the doors and back wall. Attention to detail is very high with those products. The sound deadening mat was easy to cut and apply. The kit came with everything needed although I did order rollers of different sizes to help with the tight areas. Satisfied customer here!
