It’s been a long road for Sounds Good Stereo, but one that is filled with satisfaction. In the early days of 8-track players and cassette decks, Sounds Good Stereo was on the cutting edge of installation techniques and product innovations for our Miami clients. Born on Biscayne Blvd in 1983 by Marc L., the dream was always to deliver the best audio systems for vehicles possible. In the early 1990s car audio was the craze in Miami, FL.
The introduction of “Miami Bass” also regarded as “booty bass” took over the airwaves and customers wanted to enjoy this new sub-genre of music in their vehicle. Being in downtown Miami, just minutes from the world-famous South Beach, Sounds Good Stereo was well known for its attention to detail and custom installation techniques that set the bar in our industry. Since then, the music has evolved along with the installation techniques, but our dedication to our clients has always stayed consistent for over 35+ years.
In 2012, Marc L. passed his creation off to the next generation of car audio experts, and one who happens to be a long-time employee of Sounds Good Stereo. The goal, to become the best in the nation. To achieve this, everything needed to be looked at from another angle. From the products and tuning capabilities to customer service, we revamped everything to the best of our ability. This same year, the team traveled to the U.S. and even to France to visit the Focal speaker factory.
Since 2012, we have attended hundreds of training seminars nationwide, moved to the Top 12 Installers in the nation, and provide training seminars and technical support to other retailers, even locally here in the Nashville, TN area. A lot has changed since 1983, but our commitment to our clients will always continue.
We would like to say thanks to our amazing clients and we look forward to the next 36+ years with our new location just outside of Nashville, TN.
Since 1983, as our business has grown and evolved, the focus on learning has never stopped. Every year, our industry hosts several trade shows across the country that we attend along with training seminars from several manufacturers. These shows have become our tool to expand our knowledge base and provide the latest in technical know-how to deliver a better product to our clients. While attending these shows, we have met amazing people in our industry whom we share information on some of the newest and challenging vehicles on the planet.
Every day we look forward to the challenges ahead and remain proud that our team has received industry recognition for the hard work they have put in. Since 2012, we have been awarded seven top installer awards including top 12 in the nation for 2017-2018 and four top retailer awards. This was no easy feat, but without our amazing clients who trust us with their vehicles, the awards would not matter.

NASHVILLE, TN
The most common question we receive….Why Nashville, TN? Well, the simple answer is we love music, community, and family values. The influence was from one of our team members Don L. He was born and raised here in Middle Tennessee with family spread out in the Nashville area including Mount Juliet. Growing up being exposed to musicians and working several years at Hifi Buys on Nolensville Rd, he knew the potential of the area compared to others. Even though Don lived in Florida for 10 years away from Nashville, he knew one day that he would bring a dream team of passionate car audio experts back home.
In October 2018, Sounds Good Nashville opened its door to the public with a team of award-winning, industry certified, world-class individuals, to provide a scientific approach to audio rather than guesswork that currently exists in the area.
We are not the shop for everyone and you will find that we are not the cheapest, but if you could define the right way to upgrade your vehicles audio system, our team would be that definition.
