Worked perfectly

Exactly what I was looking for to seal off the door after sound deadening. You get what you pay for. Way better than any other material I tried. Save the time and hassle and buy these.

Block off plates are amazing

After tuning my DSP i knew something was missing for sound so i ordered these for all 4 doors on my F150. After installing the block off plates, it completely changed the sound in my truck so i had to go back and retune and man what a difference. Simple to install and worth every penny to get the ultimate sound i was seeking.

Great product. Fit is solid. Especially if you leave them in the sun and get them nice and soft.

Panels

Love them! I am making it as much SQ system as possible ! And these were perfect. Made the doors stronger due to the cheap aluminum .

Amazing difference in sound output!

I recently installed the plates on the front doors and was amazed at how much of an improvement to the bass output they made. So I got the set for the rear doors as well. I didn’t think they would make as much of an improvement as the front doors since the rear speakers are so much smaller. Boy was I wrong. Tge rear plates were not only as easy to install but made as well of an improvement in bass as the front plates. The bass fills the cab now and there’s almost no need to add a sub to the stock system. Just upgrade your speakers and add these plates and you’ll be set. The plates are perfectly aligned to the doors and installed in minutes. Worth every penny too. I never would have thought that these plates would have made such a difference in bass response on a factory non-BMO system. I compared the mine to the Unleashed version and the bass is so much better in my non BMO .

F150 owners need these!

Fits like a glove, super easy to install and definitely helps the factory speakers perform a bit better.

Required modifications

Purchased rear door 6.5" rings to test out on my 2023 f-150 lightning ER XLT with basic audio package. The material is great but I had to make 2 mods. The first was I had to make the opening bigger to fit the audison voce components I was using. That's on me. The second was the holes for mounting onto the door panel had to be opened at the surface to allow the factory bolt screw heads to resess so they could be reused and have enough threads to make it through the door and out.

I also want to add the foam you include for the mounting rings is too thin because of the factory fasteners sit raised above the panel higher than your included foam gasket. Doubling it solved the issues but I didnt have enough for the other door and had to go out and purchase additional.

These little attention to details is why I am only giving it 3 stars. However the rings themselves are well made and so much better than the old days making MDF rings with glue, pin nails and hand cutting, sanding and sealing. :-)

The picture is before my mods. You can see how the factory screw bolts sit on top.

Little too late now, but we include new screws to mount the adapter to the truck so you do not need to use the factory screws. The foam rings are the tallest we have found, but we are working on having custom ones made for the Ford trucks :) Thanks again for the feedback

Not universal, you need to tweak

Purchased the block off plates and speaker rings for the rear doors of a '23 Ford Lightning extended range XLT. Started with the back doors to see if it is was worth the money. Your pictures show the plates for a different F-150. The rear doors of the lightning don't have the same exact locations for the nuts for the window track and other door bits. If I was to keep the two top holes for the outwards dimples in line, the bottom hits the window track bottom washer and nut. I had to move it slightly and modify by notching out your plate to get it to work. You only get one shot at drilling your holes. I did one hole first so I had a pivot point, taped and did the rest holes after seeing I would have an issue. I also found using a smaller bit, 1/16 instead of the suggested 1/8" allowed me to really let the screws grab and also reshape your panel to the door otherwise I would have a big gap at the lower back side closest to the bed. Because of the large gap I reinstalled the factory plastic membrane the put the plate on top. This filled the gap. The 3 stars are for the issue with having to make changes because you created a one size that doesn't quite fit all. But the plate itself I like.

Thanks for the feedback on the 23 Lightning, not sure why Ford makes these minor changes all the time, but that's what keeps out team on their toes. I will pass this along to the team.

Fits like a glove

I've tried to FYI this panel before. The SGS looks better. Works better. And. installs easily. The price is only slightly more than I would expect to pay for materials alone. Well worth the money!

Absolute game changer for sound

I got a set of these for the front doors after I upgraded the factory speakers. I wasn’t sure what to expect from them since I’m just running off the stock head unit with no amp. The difference is bass output is absolutely amazing! What was a mild thump from the 6x9’s now sounds like I installed a small sub or amp. These plates are an absolute game changer! Installation is super easy and can be done in about 15 minutes per door. I’ll be ordering the plates for the rear doors soon. If you’re wanting to improve the bass and don’t want to or can’t install a sub then these will definitely make a huge improvement.

Our best-selling 2015-2020 F-150 item is now available for the 2021 Ford F-150. If you know what these are, then you know how much better they make your stereo system sound.

If you have no idea what you are looking at, it's a custom-made plate that blocks the factory vapor paper hole and improves your mid-bass substantially, without changing the speakers. So if you are tired of the muddy, boomy lower mid-bass of your F-150, here is the most cost-effective solution for you.

These are made in-house from High-Density Poly Ethylene (HDPE) which is a great stable product for the vehicle environment and much better than your PVC or ABS plates due to their non-porous and density properties.

Just use the alignment holes at the top of the plate, pre-drill holes, apply weather stripping or sound treatment to the metal, and mount the plates. These are complex to build due to the factory door panel protruding into the door, so we designed a multi-piece plate to ensure perfect factory fitment when the door is re-installed.

- Hand-made here at our facility just outside of Nashville, TN
- Multi-piece front plate design
- Available for the front doors & rear doors
- Use sound treatment to ensure the best seal
- Made of high-quality High-Density Poly Ethylene (HDPE)
